The Finland Winter Tyre Price Report 2026: same tyre, up to 4.5x the price
Tyre-change season has started in Finland. We compared 12,925 in-stock winter tyre prices at 11 online tyre retailers and matched 2,717 identical tyres: same brand, model, size, load and speed index and studding. The median gap between the cheapest and the most expensive shop is 14.7%, 1 in 3 tyres differ by more than 25%, and the gaps are widest on premium brands.

Summary in English
- A set of four studded winter tyres in 205/55R16 costs a median €416: €348 for budget brands, €436 for mid-range and €658 for premium brands. A non-studded set costs €390.
- On 2,717 identical tyres sold by two or more shops, the median gap is 14.7% (€61 per set). 32.8% differ by more than 25%, 9.8% by more than 50%, and 28 tyres cost twice as much or more at one shop. Only 11.7% cost the same everywhere.
- The dearer the brand, the wider the gap: 30.1% (€194 per set) on premium brands, 18.4% on mid-range and 10.6% on budget brands.
- The Nokian Hakkapeliitta 01 studded tyre in 205/55R16 costs €157.92 to €188.50 across eight shops, €122.32 apart for a set.
- No shop is cheapest on everything. The cheapest shop on the most tyres is cheapest on 43.5% of them. One shop is the most expensive seller on 87.8% of its comparable tyres.
- Only 16 of 12,925 listings show a discount. At the start of the season, shops compete on everyday price.
Talvirenkaiden hintaraportti 2026: sama rengas, jopa 4,5-kertainen hinta
Renkaanvaihtokausi alkaa, ja talvirenkaat ovat pakolliset 1.11.-31.3. kelin niin vaatiessa. Keräsimme 7.10.2026 kaikkien varastossa olevien henkilöauton talvirenkaiden hinnat kymmenessä yleisessä koossa 11 Suomessa toimivasta verkkokaupasta: 12 925 hintaa, 3 653 tuotetta ja 169 merkkiä. Vertailimme vain täsmälleen samoja tuotteita: sama merkki, malli, koko, kantavuus- ja nopeusluokka sekä nastoitus.
Joka kolmannella identtisellä renkaalla yli 25 %:n ero
Löysimme 2 717 rengasta, joita myy vähintään kaksi kauppaa, ja 2 177, joita myy vähintään kolme. Mediaanirenkaalla halvimman ja kalleimman kaupan ero on 14,7 %, eli 15,13 € rengasta kohden ja 61 € sarjassa. 892 renkaalla (32,8 %) ero on yli 25 %, 266 renkaalla (9,8 %) yli 50 %, ja 28 rengasta maksaa jossakin kaupassa vähintään kaksinkertaisesti. Vain 11,7 % maksaa saman joka kaupassa.

Kalliimpi merkki, suurempi hintaero
Premium-merkkien (Nokian Tyres, Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Pirelli) renkaissa kauppojen välinen mediaaniero on 30,1 %, eli 194 € neljän renkaan sarjassa, ja 57,9 %:lla premium-renkaista ero on yli 25 %. Keskihintaisilla merkeillä mediaaniero on 18,4 % ja budjettimerkeillä 10,6 % (35 € sarjassa).

Mikään kauppa ei ole halvin kaikessa
Renkaissa, joita myy vähintään kolme kauppaa, halvimman tai jaetusti halvimman hinnan osuus vaihtelee 0 %:sta 43,5 %:iin. Kauppa F on kallein 87,8 %:ssa 336 vertailukelpoisesta renkaastaan, ja sen hinta on mediaanina 41,6 % markkinan mediaanin yläpuolella. Kolme suurinta valikoimaa (A, B ja C) kattavat kukin noin 2 500 tuotetta ja 145-151 merkkiä.

Hintaindeksi: kaupan hinta suhteessa kaikkien rengasta myyvien kauppojen mediaaniin (100 = markkinan mediaani), mediaani kaupan renkaista. Kaupat B ja C käyttävät samaa tuotekatalogia ja hinnoittelevat 58 % yhteisistä renkaistaan samaan hintaan. Kaupalla K on vertailussa vain 14 rengasta.
Kampanjoita ei juuri ole
Vain 16 listauksella 12 925:stä oli alennettu hinta korkeampaan normaalihintaan verrattuna. Kauden alussa kaupat kilpailevat perushinnalla, joten hinta-asema ratkaisee.
Miksi hinnoitteluyhtiö tutkii talvirenkaita
Renkaat ovat puhdas testi hinta-asemalle: merkkituote, julkinen hinta ja tarkka tunniste. Samat ilmiöt näkyvät jokaisessa kategoriassa, jota seuraamme.
- Pitkä häntä karkaa. Kun valikoimassa on 2 500 rengasta, kukaan ei katso jokaista hintaa. Suurimmat erot syntyvät tuotteisiin, joita kukaan ei seuraa.
- Arvokkaimmissa tuotteissa on eniten pelivaraa. Premium-renkaiden 194 €:n ero sarjaa kohden on joko menetetty kauppa tai menetetty kate.
- Kilpailu käydään perushinnalla. Kun kampanjoita ei ole, jokaisen tuotteen hinta-asema ratkaisee.

Menetelmä
Keräsimme 7.10.2026 kaikki julkisesti listatut henkilöauton talvirenkaiden hinnat kokoihin 195/65R15, 205/55R16, 205/60R16, 215/60R16, 215/65R16, 225/45R17, 225/50R17, 215/55R17, 225/55R17 ja 235/55R18 11 Suomessa toimivasta verkkokaupasta, joilla on julkiset rengashinnat. Amazon ja hintavertailusivustot eivät ole mukana. 18 011 raakariviä; poistimme pakettiauton renkaat, loppuneet tuotteet sekä hinnat alle 20 € ja yli 500 € per rengas, jolloin jäljelle jäi 12 925 listausta. Hinta on yhden renkaan hinta sis. ALV 25,5 % ja rengaskierrätysmaksun (2,01 €), ilman asennusta ja toimitusta. Renkaat yhdistettiin EAN-koodilla sekä merkin, mallin, koon, kantavuus- ja nopeusluokan, nastoituksen ja run flat -tiedon perusteella. Jos kauppa listaa saman renkaan useasti, käytimme halvinta. Premium = Nokian Tyres, Michelin, Continental, Bridgestone, Goodyear, Pirelli. Hintoja tarkistettiin käsin kauppojen sivuilla. Kaupat on nimetty A-K. Retailgrid ei ole sidoksissa yhteenkään kauppaan tai merkkiin, eikä raportista ole maksettu.
Methodology (English)
Every publicly listed price for passenger car winter tyres in ten common sizes at 11 online tyre retailers selling in Finland, collected on 7 October 2026 in EUR. Amazon and price comparison sites are excluded. 18,011 raw rows; after removing van tyres, out-of-stock items and prices under €20 or over €500 per tyre, 12,925 listings remain. The price is for one tyre including 25.5% VAT and the €2.01 tyre recycling fee, excluding fitting and delivery. Tyres are matched by EAN or by brand, model, size, load and speed index, studding and run-flat; where a shop lists the same tyre more than once, the cheapest offer is used. Prices were checked by hand on the live sites. Retailers are shown as A to K. Retailgrid is not affiliated with any retailer or brand and was not paid to produce this report.
