How it works

Public online prices from each shop's full catalogue, collected every week. Only products that at least two independent shops sell are compared: same barcode, same manufacturer model number or the same product name.

For every product, the shop's price is compared with the median price across shops (or the lowest price in Minimum mode). The average gap is the mean over all shared products, capped at 100%. Shops under one owner count once in the median.

Each heat-map cell counts products in a gap band. Green bands are cheaper than the market, red bands dearer. Promo prices count as the price a shopper pays.

GPC and Pharmadepot list the same products at the same price on 92% of shared items, so they count as one shop in the market median.
